Nature of Life..

Life is expansive by nature. And, my, how times change. There was a period where I was very indecisive on picking who would be on ‘my’ team. While the dreaded list is no longer or shorter, I move with surgical precision now. Saying I’m a wonderful woman and that I have great qualities is commonplace. I know that I’m a great person — that’s what all the hard work has been about. Having a beautiful face, I cannot take credit for. (Thanks P&W for that one!) Having a terrific heart is solely the product of God.

I am sitting on a ledge, swinging my feet over the walkway of the bridge to tomorrow. To the left is all of yesterday; to the right, at the end of the bridge, are the rest of my tomorrows. When I look over the past 365 days, I see me. I have been waiting for THIS day, for one year. ‘Fi B and Li (Elaan) remember…

The left side of the horizon has a lot of hills and a densely knotted forest. There are beautiful flowers in that forest that grew with the weeds. Because there was no horticulturist caring for them, they slowly changed. But the great thing about nature is this: As the winds blew the seeds of the trees onto other fertile ground, bees carried the nectar from the flowers over as well. So what was pretty, but unseen in that forest is a clear meadow of color just on the other side of the bridge.

The left side has some towns with wonderfully old castles…some of them are haunted! Agents used to show the town to the new residents, in detail. If the resident wanted to experience the “richness of life,” then a full out tour was organized. Going at a madman’s pace through the various villages, up cobblestone streets, into castle peaks and through hunchback’s bell towers, you got everything. Ev-e-ry-thing. No time to appreciate what made the moss grow on the side of the building…if we stay here too long we won’t get to watch the sunset hit the skyline and then we won’t be able to see the dolphin jump within the sea. And we have to do this all immediately.

Simultaneously, while the agent is sharing the city, they learn about the new resident. All the pertinent information. Where they’re from, what they like to do, why they chose this city. After all, the more information the agent knows, the better prepared the tour will be.  And after this energy has been expended, they all realize that the trouble wasn’t worth it. The new resident was really a foreign tourist with messed up paperwork, who didn’t even speak the native language (let alone read it)…All the activity, all the knowledge, all the muss and fuss was wasted. This was the modus de operandi.

The left side city. The Left City.

Over the bridge, I see the Right City. It’s even more beautiful than the left city, even though the left city is a historic landmark, all its own. The right city, is simply built — although, if you don’t take time to understand the layers of the city, you may be inclined to think that only a few activities happen there. The right city is a city built on legacy. History; Legacy… funny how speaking about the same thing yields drastically different results…

The right city has extreme contrasts that you have to get in close to really appreciate. Lots of homage to the past, but it’s more oriented toward something else. And yes, you do need a visa to get into the country. Tourists can visit, but the tour is simpler and much, much, much less involved. Perhaps you’d like to see some photographers or appreciate some other artistic literature? Perhaps you want to visit one of the chapels or commune at one of the local restaurants…that’s all swell, but don’t expect to find anyplace to stay for longer than a few fleeting moments. See the right city understands something that the historic Left did not. It’s a small recipe that deals in 2 parts confidante (citizens of the city), 2 parts God, 1 part laughter and 4 parts of Love. And since God is love — you can accurately surmise that it’s 6 parts God, 2 part citizen, and 1 part laughter. All of how the city runs, operates, its values, treasures — well you have to be a citizen to get that information. But if you want to just observe the views we see on a day to day basis — feel free to get your visa stamped for a day pass. Just know that the visa essentially means low to no clearance. Don’t ask to see the city treasures or what the local myth is behind the haunted hill. We got this. We don’t need any other opinions. But if you value what we value — there may be a place for you.

And just like in America, there’s a process and a ceremony for becoming a citizen of the Right. It’s a pretty awesome place, though — so once you catch a glimpse, you may find your feet wandering toward the department of naturalization.

Ahh… the bridge…

I jump down from the cobblestone brick ledge I had perched my body, and dusted off my bottom. With every step, the noise from the Left city faded and the harmony of the right steeped into my ears. Even the sun felt brighter on this side.

Funny how the winds of peace blow like summer breeze. I see my first citizen friend waving to me. She wondered why she hadn’t gotten my letter yet. Well, since I’m seeing her, here it is…

  1. Simply beautiful. Walk with grace in your new found stewardship in the “what is to come”. Love you

  2. “I am sitting on a ledge, swinging my feet over the walkway of the bridge to tomorrow.” It must feel amazing to be out of the old city. Even though there is some beauty in those ashes, it seems as if there is no danger where those feet now swing; if there was danger……. those feet motions would be used for running. Excited for as you left the left. To be able to get the perspective you have sought for an entire year sounds refreshing.
“Because there was no horticulturist caring for them, they slowly changed.” Looks like you became your own carer because others weren’t able to deliver the order your life called in.

It is the individual quickly drinking the raw egg for its acclaimed health rather than enjoying eggs cooked to perfection… delicate texture, amazing spices, creamy cheese all encumbered in black cast iron, leaving the mouth speechless. But hey…At least the first individual can say, that consumed it RAW. But can someone say “Tasteless”. Uncooked. No time to appreciate the right season…ing……

Just swing your feet in the shallow. Save the ladder for the citizens of Diver’s county; those who are custom certified, but don’t sit bewildered as to why you can’t wear their special emblem. They don’t deserve the title without initiation and ceremony.

I literally could see this picture! Walk into the city for you…. taking all of who you are, unashamed of the priceless and irreplaceable you. Go get all God has for you greentots. Amazing.
